A wonderful opportunity for ice climbers to take their love for climbing to the next level and take on advanced challenges. This is a week-long course designed and planned by the experts at HOD where you will learn advanced ice climbing techniques.

You will be training in the snow clad Spiti Valley, in a fun and safe environment, along with 15 other climbers. This course is for those who have either taken our beginner course or have previous ice climbing or outdoors experience.

So if you have caught the ice climbing bug, there is no better way to hone and advance your ice skills!

Course schedule

DAY 0: Course Briefing, Do’s and Don'ts
DAY 1: Clothing & Layering Systems, Equipment use and care, Acclimatisation hike
DAY 2: Belaying, Intro to ice climbing
DAY 3: Top roping and footwork
DAY 4: Practice top rope/ optional rest day
DAY 5: Building ice anchors
DAY 6: Mock Lead
DAY 7: Short climbing session, Gear sorting, Last supper party, departure
